TuesReviewsKids: Mumma, Dadda, No, Mine, More!

Text by Jane Godwin, illustrations by Jane Massey.

Published in 2021.

Simple toddler communication is shown across one child's day, in this book. The book uses little more than the title's five words. This simplicity has both delightful elements and ones I dislike personally.

The simplicity is wonderful at encouraging toddlers who have trouble with developing speech since it creatively uses the five words in many contexts. It also makes for a quaint and cute style.

However, understanding of words comes before speech in my limited knowledge, so, although this book shows a toddlers own speech well it doesn't encourage a greater vocabulary for them to expand towards.

Illustrations are adorable with drawings with either watercolour or digital colours (I'm unsure which) in a limited pallet.
